The anatomy of your COLD WINTER
It’s the moments outside where life takes form and plans are achieved. Whilst cycling at top speed through the city on hasty commutes to work, meeting up with friends or simply getting some groceries. In these fleeting moments from A to B you suddenly find yourself exposed to the weather, may it be windy, wet and hailing or a soft breeze with a sudden burst of sun. Whatever crosses that path, you keep going. You won’t change the weather, but you can adapt and even play with it, you just need the right gear. We like to call them OUTERPROOFS.
HOW WATERPROOF IS A GOFRANCK?
The indication of a water column is derived from a test setup where a tube of 2.5 cm diameter is placed on a piece of test material. Water is poured into the tube and measured to what extent this water can rise in the tube before the pressure on the material becomes so high that it leaks through. 20.000 mm, for example, means that this water column should be 20m high for the pressure limit, higher than that means that water can start to penetrate the material.
No resistance to some resistance to moisture. Ideal for light rain, dry snow, no pressure.
Rainproof and waterproof except under high pressure. Ideal for moderate rain, average snow, light pressure.
Rainproof and waterproof under medium-high pressure. Ideal for heavy rain, wet snow, medium-high pressure.
